Pecan Pie Monkey Bread
DOUGH
1 cup milk
1 egg
1.25 tsp salt
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c butter
3.75 c flour
1.5 tsp yeast
Order is for bread machine so if doing it old way adjust method accordingly. Rise as per normal.
CARAMEL
3/8 c butter
1 c brown sugar
3/8 c whipping cream
Combine ingredients in small saucepan. Bring to boil and cook stirring often for 3 minutes.
1/2 c chopped pecans
SUGAR MIX
1 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup milk
1 egg

ASSEMBLY
Grease well bundt pan. Punch down dough and shape into 40 balls.
Pour half caramel into bundt pan and sprinkle with half pecans.
Dip 20 balls into butter then roll in sugar mix. Place into bundt pan. Pour rest of caramel over and sprinkle with remaining pecans. Repeat sugar butter with remaining balls.
Let rise till doubled - about 40 minutes. Preheat oven to 350. Bake about 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes then invert onto plate.
Its the caramel that makes it so good.
NOTE: Japanese method. Add if you want.

Mix till no lumps then cook till thick. Add this to the dough.
