Bran Muffins AKA These’ll Make You Shit Muffins

1 cup boiling water
1 cup bran
1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup molasses
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
2 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups bran flakes
1 cup each raisins, chopped dates and chopped prunes
1 cup bran
1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup molasses
1 cup brown sugar

2 cups buttermilk
2 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups bran flakes
1 cup each raisins, chopped dates and chopped prunes
Pour boiling water over bran and let stand. Cream together oil, sugar, molasses and eggs. Add buttermilk and mix. Stir together flour, salt and soda. Add to oil mixture along with bran, bran flakes and dried fruit. Mix until all moistened. Refrigerate overnight. In the morning fill baking cups without stirring mixture. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes.
