Butter Tarts
1 dozen prepared tart shells
1/3 cup soft butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cream
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup raisins or currants
1 egg beaten

Preheat oven to 450ºF. Divide raisins, nuts etc. among the prepared shells. Mix remaining ingredients together well. Pour into prepared tart shells and bake for 8 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350º and continue baking till pastry is brown (approx. 5-8 minutes) Do not over-bake.
